DESCRIPTION:The Green Schools Conference returns March 3–4\, 2025\, with a robust conference program.\nRegistration for the 2025 Green Schools Conference (GSC) is now open. Join us in the LEED Gold City of Orlando at the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs to celebrate 15 years of the conference. GSC is a two-day experience designed to inspire and facilitate the progress of the green schools movement. \nThe GSC unites passionate professionals working to advance green schools to explore and promote sustainability initiatives and environmental stewardship. The 15th annual GSC will offer participants in-depth education\, networking\, memorable moments from inspirational sessions and keynote presentations—all designed to foster valuable connections and information sharing. \nTake advantage of group rates\nThe GSC encourages schools and school districts to take advantage of the group rates available for organizations that send five or more individuals to the event. Contact us for more information. \nTackling key challenges in advancing green school initiatives\nThe impacts of the climate crisis on education and the design of school buildings have been profound. The 2025 GSC education program will include five education tracks with compelling and inspiring sessions related to: \n\nEnvironmental Justice and Health Equity\nCommunication for Climate Action\nPartnerships for Sustainable and Equitable Schools\nHealthy\, Zero Energy Schools\nSustainable School Culture and Climate\n\nThe conference education program kicks off on March 3 with an engaging opening keynote\, half-day workshops in the morning\, and a celebratory lunch with the Best of Green Schools Awards ceremony. The afternoon features interdisciplinary education sessions intended to leave participants with tangible action plans to take back to their organizations\, followed by the opportunity to learn from green resource providers during a speed-networking event. Attendees are invited to celebrate with new and old friends at the annual Friends and Family Party\, hosted by our conference partner\, the Green Schools National Network (GSNN). \nThe conference will continue on March 4\, offering a full day of interdisciplinary education sessions covering important topics\, such as leveraging new funding sources and models\, the intersectionality of sustainability and equity\, empowering student voices for climate action\, and nature-based strategies for education and wellness. \nThe 2025 experience will conclude with a gathering of all attendees to reflect on lessons learned\, enjoy a student performance\, hear an engaging closing keynote presentation and toast to 15 years of the GSC during the closing reception. Post-conference\, attendees are invited to add on offsite experiences in the GSC’s immersive tours and workshops. \nGBCI continuing education information and additional session and speaker details will be listed on the GSC program website soon. \nDiscounted room rates at the conference hotel\nDiscounted rooms are available at $237 per night (plus applicable taxes and fees) for GSC attendees at the conference host hotel\, the Hilton Orlando Lake Buena Vista at Disney Springs.
