On May 3, 2021, the Center for Green Schools at USGBC (U.S. Green Building Council), in collaboration with Green Schools National Network, announced the finalists for the 2021 Best of Green Schools Awards. The awards celebrate the leaders, educators, schools, organizations, and students who are advancing our shared vision of green schools.

This year, we’ve created finalist status for five categories as a way to elevate more leaders in the green schools movement. These finalists are dedicated to building healthy and sustainable learning environments for present and future generations and reflect the extraordinary strides that have been made, despite the tumult and uncertainty created by the pandemic. Please note that we are not announcing finalists for the Business Leader and Advocate award categories. These winners will be announced at the conference alongside the winners of the other five categories.

The Best of Green Schools and Green Apple Award winners will be announced on June 29, 2021, at this year’s virtual Green Schools Conference. In the lead up to the live announcement at the conference, please join us in celebrating our finalists for their accomplishments this school year!
