2020 Conference will feature Danni Washington as the opening keynote speaker

Registration is now open for individuals and groups for the 2020 Green Schools Conference & Expo (GSCE). The event will be held March 2 – 4, 2020 in Portland, Oregon at the Hilton Portland Downtown. Don’t miss this opportunity to learn from and network with educational leaders, green building professionals, nonprofit partners, and others who are passionate about the future of green schools.

Registration Options

During registration, you can select a conference pass for access to informative education sessions, plenaries, and a diverse Expo Hall. Options for full passes (March 2 – 3) or daily passes (March 2 or March 3) are available.

You can further enhance your conference experience by registering for the following special events:
• Women in Green Breakfast (March 3): network with fellow women in the field.
• Workshops (March 4): workshops are hosted at off-site locations and present an opportunity to dive deeper into education content. Topics will be announced in late fall.

Special rates for conference passes are available for groups of 10 or more. Register by December 20, 2019 to save with early bird rates.

Opening Keynote Speaker Announced!

We are excited to announce that Danni Washington will be the opening keynote speaker for the 2020 conference. Danni is a nonprofit founder, ocean science educator, TV personality, and social media influencer. She is also the first African-American woman of color to host her own science television series. Danni’s passions include ocean advocacy and science communication. At 21, she co-founded the nonprofit Big Blue & You with her mom to inspire and educate youth about marine conservation through the arts and media. She has hosted and/or worked on television programs including Untamed Science, Ocean GEMS, and Xploration Nature Knows Best. She is also the co-creator of Sea Youth Rise Up, a collaborative effort to elevate youth leadership in ocean conservation policy and advocacy on World Oceans Day.
