Registration is now open for the Green Schools Conference (GSC), hosted virtually June 28-29, 2021.

GSC convenes all the players who make green schools a reality: the people who lead, operate, build, and teach in schools. Every year, hundreds of leaders and advocates come together to work toward making visible, measurable and lasting progress toward the three pillars of green schools: environmental impact, health impact and environmental and sustainability literacy.

After a year characterized by dramatic change, GSC is an especially timely and critical hub for the green schools community to come together to share success stories, adaptions and strategies for continuing to empower our students and create healthy, sustainable places to learn in this new landscape.

This year’s program will include:

  • Mainstage programming: hear from inspiring keynote speakers and participate in a student-designed session geared towards empowering youth sustainability leaders.
  • Education Sessions: learn about practical strategies for healthy schools and pandemic response, building design for sustainability education, expanding learning environments beyond school walls, among much more, and collaborate with presenters and fellow attendees on actionable solutions.
  • Peer-to-Peer Networking: hear from leading experts on priority topics facing the green schools community – such as incorporating sustainability into everyday curriculum or designing for social equity – and join peer breakout groups to discuss your experiences and ideas.
  • Award Ceremony: celebrate winners of the Best of Green Schools and Green Apple Awards.

Register today to save up to 15 percent with early-bird pricing, applicable through May 14, 2021. Registration includes access to two days of live event programming plus access to a post-event virtual library of on-demand recordings of the live sessions.

Special rates are available for PreK-12 school or district, government, or nonprofit employees. GSC is also offering Community Scholarships to those who would otherwise not be able to attend due to financial barriers.

Throughout the month of February, more than 300 thought-leaders registered for our educator and school leader virtual summits. The Green Schools Conference will offer attendees opportunities to hear diverse perspectives and dive deeper into the topics that were most in demand at the summits. Here’s what some summit attendees had to say…

I think the panelists were fantastic!! Diverse, on point, racial and social justice at the forefront, thank you!! Keep this narrative going. Racial/social/environmental justice are so intertwined, as are the solutions. Thanks so much for your continued commitment to keep us moving with intention, consciousness, and reflection.

Very excited to try new strategies, and take the information I’ve learned from these speakers and bring it into my classroom. It’s so amazing to see how different classrooms are and ways that I could help include these ideas for my kiddos!
