Green Schools National Network is excited to partner again with the Center for Green Schools at USGBC to co-present the Best of Green Schools 2020.
The Best of Green Schools celebrates the hard work being done—by people, schools, campuses, and organizations—to advance our shared vision for green schools. If you or someone you know is making significant strides toward creating green, healthy, and sustainable schools, we want to hear from you! The 2019 honorees included a student-led wetland restoration project in New York that was conducted in collaboration with the people of the Cayuga Nation and a university environmental studies program in Nebraska that empowers high school students to reduce the environmental impacts of K-12 school buildings.
The call for nominations closes at 11:59 p.m. ET on Monday, November 18, 2019. You are welcome to submit nominations for yourself or others.
Winners will be announced and awarded in 10 categories at the 2020 Green Schools Conference and Expo, to be held March 2 – 4, 2020 in Portland, Oregon. This annual gathering of leaders and innovators in the green schools movement is an exciting opportunity to celebrate the leadership embodied by awardees.
After you submit your nomination, be sure to register to attend the conference so you’ll be on hand in Portland to see (or receive!) the awards during the ceremony.
