To all our registered attendees, we want to thank you for your patience as we have monitored the ever-evolving situation and tried to make the best decision in the interest of all of our stakeholders. Some of you have already contacted me with your concerns. Others of you have kept me aware of the changing landscape in your schools and school districts. Thank you.Â
Â
With that information, GSNN and Virginia Beach City Public Schools have decided that it is in the best interest of our community and public health to postpone the March 30 – 31 site seminar out of an abundance of caution. We have not identified an alternate set of dates just yet. Once we do, we will be sure to let you know.
We are not yet providing refunds because it is our hope that we will be able to reschedule the seminar before the end of the school year or next fall. If your school of school district requests a refund, we will provide it. Â
We believe strongly in face to face learning and the ability to meet with your colleagues who share a passion for green, healthy and sustainable schools, These opportunities are an important way to expand your professional network and professional knowledge and to see what is possible and essectional for a sustainable future. I look forward to sending you a note in the near future with our new dates!
In the meantime, please stay safe and healthy,
Green Schools National Network
Join Green Schools National Network and 2018 U.S. Department of Education Green Ribbon School District Award recipient Virginia Beach City Public Schools for a 1.5 day exploration of Sustainability Leadership: A Road Map for Driving Innovation Through the Triple Bottom Line. This site seminar is designed for Executive Level and Building Level leaders who are interested in learning how sustainability can help their districts reduce expenses while decreasing their ecological footprints; improve the health and well-being of those who work, learn, and play in their schools; and prepare students for college and careers in a future that will require new ways of thinking and learning. The site seminar will highlight how sustainability leaders, informed by Harvard University’s Executive Education in Sustainability Leadership program, have developed purpose-driven ideas to drive innovation in organizational culture, operations and management, and teaching and learning.
