Green Schools National Network (GSNN) partners with school and district leaders through a planning and implementation cycle based on a shared goal of applying best practices as described in the GreenPrint for healthy, equitable, and sustainable schools. No matter where you are on your sustainability journey, GSNN will be your guide on the side, helping you envision where you want to go and what you need to accomplish to get there.

  • Sustainability Leadership: GSNN staff will work with you to develop and communicate a vision that centers health, equity, and sustainability and adopt practices and policies that support the vision. This includes creating a sustainability action plan, forming leadership and green teams, and developing brand awareness related to your school or district’s work.
  • Strategic Planning and Implementation: GSNN staff will work with you to identify strengths and challenges related to current health, equity, and sustainability work. Insights form the basis for creating a holistic strategic plan that prioritizes key goals and outlines actions that can be taken to reach them.
  • Data Analysis and Evaluation: GSNN staff will work with you to identify key metrics and develop a plan for measuring progress toward your goals. This includes leveraging GSNN’s suite of data analysis and evaluation tools to help you analyze and evaluate data so you can update strategies, policies, and practices to ensure alignment with your goals.
  • Sustainability-Minded Curriculum Coaching: GSNN staff will work with you to design and implement a sustainability curriculum that is standards-aligned, student-centered, and culturally relevant. This includes conducting a curriculum audit, curriculum mapping, designing model lessons, and providing staff training and professional learning opportunities.
  • Sustainable and Just Culture and Climate Coaching: GSNN staff will work with you to design and implement a culture and climate program that supports social and emotional learning and the development of sustainability mindsets. We leverage state SEL standards and help you create programs that breathe life into your vision for safe and supportive learning environments. This includes framing values; assessing the efficacy of current programs; co-creating and designing community based programs, and providing staff training and professional learning opportunities.
