Another Green Schools National Conference has come and gone, but the enthusiasm and energy remain.
Our fifth annual event was a true team effort, thanks to the many partners who helped make our time in Virginia Beach a remarkable gathering. Top of the list is the GSNN staff, which worked for months to lay the groundwork for the event. They are the GSNN brain trust, and those brains were firing on all cylinders, believe me!
This year’s event was the first produced by the USGBC Community and Events Team, and the USGBC Center for Green Schools staff. What an amazing crew – professional, thorough and a real delight. Thanks also go to HealthCorps, as co-presenter and the Green Schools, Inc. staff, which tackled yet another GSNC Student Summit.
Our gratitude also extends to our conference speakers, vendors and exhibitors, as well as our sponsors. We can’t do it without you!
I’ve been re-playing the high points of the conference these past weeks. It was a diverse, collaborative conference and many attendees have commented about the sense of unity and involvement at this year’s event.
My final thoughts? Permit me to revisit my closing remarks at our last conference session: “Where we learn matters, what we teach matters, and how we learn together matters.”
And you matter, of course. Thank you all for your continuing support!
