Field Research: Land Ecosystems

Grades K - 5

In this field research lesson, students learn what an ecosystem is, collect and record information on local plants and animals in a Land Journal, compare the natural versus built landscape in their neighborhood, and reflect on ways they can encourage more local biodiversity.
